Trogir is "easily explored"
26 February 2008
The area of Trogir may offer holidaymakers considering Croatia travel a good base to visit other popular destinations in the country, it has been suggested.
Writing for the Observer, Tom Hall of Lonely Planet said that the city is "compact and easily explored" and that tourists may want to "combine it with visiting Split and some of the nearby islands".
Advising an elderly couple wishing to visit the region in September, the expert suggested that the weather would be more favourable earlier in the month.
Trogir is located within 3km of Split Airport, according to TrogirOnline, which states that London Heathrow offers daily flights to the region.
"Everywhere you go in Trogir area, you will meet very friendly and charming people, smooth combination of Southern temperament and warm hospitality, thanks to our long tourist tradition," the site claims.
The region has a mild Mediterranean climate, offering 2,700 sunny hours per year, the news provider noted.
