US writer recommends Croatia

Croatia is a "gorgeous" country which US tourists must go and enjoy, according to a travel expert.
Nancy McKeon, writing as an interim editor for the Washington Post in a travel discussion, claimed one of the best aspects of Croatia is that it remains affordable for Americans as it is outside the Eurozone.
She said the wooden pathways were "thronged with locals as well as at least two groups of Japanese tourists and lots of Germans".
Dubrovnik was a particular recommendation of Ms McKeon, which she described as a "must".
Zagreb also benefited from a "beautifully-designed" museum and an upper city with "an older charm".
Marian Montgomery told the Dallas Morning News recently that US tourists can get more value for money by visiting Balkan countries like Croatia rather than Western European destinations.
She said there are bargains to be had and the value of the area is seeing it rise in popularity.
