Weekend on the Adriatic festival set for Croatia
01 July 2008
Croatia is preparing itself for a summer festival filled with house and techno music.
The event at the Garden Festival, known as A Weekend on the Adriatic, will take place in Zadar from 1st to 3rd August, according to datatransmission.co.uk.
Organised by London's mulletover and East Village and Cardiff-based L'America, the festival will boast acts such as Dixon, Pasta Boys and Jamie Jones.
The three-day event will also include boat parties to a "secret location on the Adriatic" and outdoor raves, while Barbarellas club and terrace bar will be open from midnight until 6am to entertain revellers.
A Weekend on the Adriatic costs £50 for an all weekend pass.
The festival may be of interest to British travellers, who are said to increasingly be looking abroad for their summer gigging experiences.
Ross Purdie, editor of Virtual Festivals, has encouraged people to turn their trip into a full-blown holiday and attend a festival as part of a "wider experience".
