Zagreb is "buzzing with life"
25 February 2008
The Croatian capital city Zagreb has a great deal to offer visitors, it has been claimed by one publication.
Today's Zamen says that the city is typically European, boasting "wide city squares, great urban planning, palaces, chateaus and churches".
According to the newspaper, the Zagreb is likely to leave tourists with "enough curiosity and enthusiasm" to explore all day.
Ban Jelacic Square is "buzzing with life", the news provider states, noting that this is a good place for visitors to start as it offers street cafes and access to all other points of the city.
"If you stay in the square until the late evening, you will see these cafes overfill with customers late into the night," it adds.
According to the Daily Telegraph, Croatia is a "great place for a seaside holiday", as it offers "crystal-clear" blue seas.
The country has "all the advantages" of other holiday destinations, but at "affordable prices" the newspaper said.
