This delightful three bedroom stone house is located on Makarska’s waterfront within walking distance of the town centre. The villa has been recently renovated and is decorated in a rustic style throughout with exposed stone walls and beamed ceilings. Makarska is a lively seaside town and offers some of the best nightlife on the coast. In addition the town is in possession of a great beach and makes an excellent base to explore Mount Biokovo National Park which sits behind the town.
This pretty terraced stone house is entered from the street into a corridor. On this level there is a twin bedroom, a double bedroom and a bathroom. Stairs to the first floor lead into a spacious open plan kitchen / diner / lounge area and a separate family bathroom. A door leads out onto a lovely sea facing terrace. From the terrace stairs lead down into a shady garden with Biokovo mountain view. Stairs from the lounge area lead up into a galleried sleeping area with double bed.
The house would suit an older family or a group of friends who would like to be within walking distance of bars and restaurants and are not looking to go to bed too early in July and August when the whole town is at its liveliest. May, June and September are less busy in terms of activity and are often quiet. Other activities nearby including white water rafting, canoeing and canyoning on the River Cetina near Omis. Split, Dubrovnik, Mostar and islands such as Brac and Hvar are all easy day excursions that can be organized from Makarska.
