4 Bedroom seaside Villa with Pool in Orebic, Sleeps 7-8

  • 4 bedroom seaside villa with Pool in Orebic on Peljesac, Sleeps 7-8

This impressive 19th century sea captains house occupies a stunning waterfront position in the seaside town of Orebic on the Peljesac Peninsula. Surrounded by a spacious terrace and shaded by mature trees, the villa has been lovingly restored with exposed stone walls, wooden beams and decorated throughout with choice antique furniture pieces. The villa would suit a family or group of friends looking for a beach side villa in the Peljesac region with easy access to restaurants and bars.

Guests enter the property from a quiet country lane located to the rear of the villa through a gate and down a short flight of steps onto the main terrace area. From here a set of French doors leads into the ground floor consisting of an open plan lounge with fireplace, dining area and partially separated kitchen to one side. The ground floor also contains a separate shower room and a further three sets of French doors leading back out onto the sea facing terrace. The first floor, accessed by a spiral staircase, contains one double bedroom and one twin room both with sea views. A third large single bedroom and separate shower room with washing machine are also located on this level which also features a doorway leading back out to the country lane located to the rear of the villa. On the second floor (eaves) there is a daybed at the top of the stairs with a double bedroom to one side and bathroom to the other.

    Chef service available on request.

Orebic has a number of restaurants and supermarkets within walking distance of the property. Peljesac is a well-established wine growing region and wine tasting is popular in this area. Opposite lies the island of Korcula with its historic old town of the same name. It is a 20 minutes ferry ride from Orebic to Korcula Island opposite on the car ferry or a 10 minute passenger boat ride straight into Korcula old town. For sports lovers, a sailing school can be found in Korcula, and surfing lessons can be taken at a surfing school in nearby Viganj.

    • Customer reviews:

Beautiful property with lots of different seating areas for sunshine/shade and direct access to our own bit of shoreline, very well furnished, and nicely presented. Really appreciated the provision of food and fruit on arrival, plus the abundance of towels and bathroom products for use during our stay, and lovely cleaner.

Owner was very attentive after a big storm that disrupted the internet service to the property, ensuring it was restored within the day. She got up early to see us off. Very nice lady, who obviously took pride in the property and wanted to give us a good holiday.

Impressed with: Beautiful weather, clean water, lovely islands, good food.
Not impressed with: We found the service in some of the shops/restaurants a bit perfunctory: a cultural rather than personal issue, we assumed!
Recommend: We enjoyed the local tavernas on the seafront in Orebic.
Favourite villa moment: Sitting out in the garden looking out over the sea.

      Stayed August 2016

Owners were wonderful, kind and attentive but not invasive.

Impressed with: The Adriatic Sea is beautiful to swim in.
Not impressed with:  The Bosnian corridor traffic jam
Recommend: Water taxi to Korcula, most of the restaurants in Orebic were great value- we noticed the difference when we went to Korcula town.
Favourite villa moment:  Swimming in the sea

Everything with the villa was absolutely perfect.

Owner was outstanding in every way. She was there to greet us the moment we arrived and had our kitchen stocked with everything from wine and cheese to coffee, eggs, milk, fruit, and bread for breakfast the next morning. She also shared her own bicycles with us and a rolling caddy for carrying groceries from the market to the villa.

      Impressed with: The stunning scenery.
Not impressed with: The 2 lane roads that make driving to surrounding areas very stressful. Aggressive drivers in cars and motorcycles passing on curves, roads with no shoulder.
Recommend: The ferry to Korcula is an easy way to see some surrounding areas, and a lovely day trip. We enjoyed all the restaurants - everyone is very helpful with the understanding the menu and the food is fresh and delicious! Our favorite place was a small cafe, Croccantino, on the main seaside road that had coffee, pastries, and the very best gelato. The fresh fruits and produce that can be purchased in the small vendor market stalls is the best we've ever had anywhere!
Favourite villa moment: Sitting outside on our patio enjoying the view and wine.

Owner could not have been more helpful and welcoming.

Impressed with: Scenery, food (particularly seafood and wine) and the clear sea.
Not impressed with: Was largely impressed. Few tourist quibbles but nothing you would not find elsewhere.
      Recommend: Passenger ferry to Korcula.
Favourite villa moment: Stepping out of the villa and enjoying early morning swims in the crystal sea.

PJ010 is a lovely property, with a large, beautifully landscaped terrace right at the sea. It has been thoughtfully renovated and furnished with antiques to make a cozy seaside retreat. Croatia, especially Peljsac and Korcula, were far less developed than I expected and it was a pleasant surprise. The food was also quite good. The owner of our property made us feel so at home with her warm hospitality. She went above and beyond in preparing the villa - we arrived to fresh flowers, herbs and lemons from her family's garden and a lightly stocked pantry for our first breakfast. She anticipated our every need and it was a pleasure to meet her and rent her family's house..
