Accommodation in Dubrovnik offers access to "amazing walled city"
21 October 2010Dubrovnik is an "amazing walled city" that is perhaps best explored from a base within its boundary.
As such, accommodation in Dubrovnik may be particularly popular with the hundreds of thousands of people who visit each year.
An article by Travel Video News states the resort is "in much demand", partly due to its location on a "stunning part" of the Dalmatian coast.
But it is not all about sun and sand, as the city's fascinating history and iconic red rooftops are also highly popular with visitors.
The tourism website goes on to note accommodation in Dubrovnik is not the only option though, as there are several pretty villages – such as Bosanka – in the surrounding areas ready to offer a slice of tranquility.
Also among the attractions holidaymakers may wish to visit is the cable car that was opened this summer and transports people from the old town to the top of the neighbouring Mount Srdj, offering a bird's-eye view of the city.
