Animated film festival to open in Zagreb
09 April 2009Croatia's acclaimed World Festival of Animated Film is due to open in Zagreb soon, no doubt attracting movie lovers from all over the world.
Organised in association with the Zagreb School of Animation, the event will see a large number of short and feature length productions showcased in city theatres and cinemas.
The festival begins on June 2nd and runs until the 7th, giving visitors just enough time to book travel arrangements and find accommodation in the area.
Organisers behind the event said in a statement: "In the course of its 30-year-old history, it has systematically been following world animation production through a number of films in competition and out competition."
They added that it had amassed a reputation of "being one of the most significant events" in the animated film industry.
Meanwhile, tourism to Croatia has received a boost with the news that visa restrictions on Russian and Ukrainian visitors have been relaxed, Reuters reported.
