Are business travellers set to head to Croatia?

Business travel in Croatia could be set for a positive spell, if one expert's opinion is found to be true in the country.

Ron DiLeo, executive director of the Association of Corporate Travel Executives, believes the next 12 months will see an upsurge in the number of people heading abroad to honour professional commitments.

"Travel is a leading indicator of the economy and looking at the various regions where the survey came from, everyone [is] expecting their travel activities to be up," he explains.

Croatia may be considered by many to be the ideal place to hold a business meeting or conference.

The country's non-euro status means it is often seen as a more affordable and better value-for-money option than some other nations, while its unspoilt beaches and picturesque landscape make for an attractive backdrop to any get-together.

Some 64 per cent of respondents to an Association of Corporate Travel Executives poll recently claimed there will be an upturn in business travel over the next year.
