Barca president arrives for Croatia holiday
13 August 2010Barcelona FC president Sandro Rosell has opted to spend some of his time away from the Camp Nou on holiday in Croatia.
The head of the current La Liga champions arrived in the country earlier in the week and is expected to spend seven days exploring Split and the surrounding area with his family, the Croatian Times reports.
And it is unlikely that he will be left with a shortage of things to do, as the city, which is the second largest in the country, is home to a number of tourist attractions, such as the Diocletian's Palace, the Cathedral of St Domnius and the People's Square.
However, rumours suggest Mr Rosell may be mixing business with pleasure on the trip, with the newspaper stating he could meet with president of Croatian football side Hadjuk Split to discuss the possibility of a friendly between the two teams taking place in 2011.
