Beautiful, clean seas on offer to travellers to Croatia

People who take a holiday in Croatia will enjoy some of the cleanest seas around, according to a study.

Research shows nine-out-of-ten beaches in the country are rated in the highest category, the Croatian Times reports Slobodna Dalmacija as stating.

Samples were taken from a number of spots in Dubrovnik and around Neretva County earlier this month, with experts on hand to assess the quality of the sea for swimming.

Of the 101 beaches examined, an excellent rating was given to 92, while five were said to be good and four satisfactory, the newspaper explains.

Tourists who enjoy a dip in the sea while on their summer break may be boosted by the news and could see Croatia as their perfect destination.

Cheapflights.ca recently told of a number of celebrities who have been spotted on the beaches of Croatia - perhaps enjoying the clean water - including Prince William, Eva Longoria and Robert de Niro.
