Beauty of Croatia 'is an open secret among travellers'
16 July 2010A voyage of discovery on the Dalmatian coast in Croatia will lead holidaymakers to more than 1,200 islands and beautiful seas.
Indeed, Croatia's shore, which is washed by turquoise waters and sandy beaches is an "open secret among lovers of the sea", suggests Hello magazine.
It notes boarding a sailing boat may be the best way to take a closer look at the country and its islands, from Istria in the north all the way down to the ancient city of Dubrovnik.
"You can even dive among shipwrecks of the multitude of civilisations that have come this way over the centuries," adds the publication.
Some people may just choose to relax and soak up the sun, either from the beach or while on a boat cruising the region.
Among the islands that tourists might find the best to visit include Brac, Korcula and Hvar, all of which are linked by ferry to the mainland.
