Book Croatia holiday now for festival fun

Although half of the summer may be done and dusted, the top-quality seasonal events keep coming for those who head to Croatia on holiday.

For example, next month sees the Stop Making Sense festival take place in Petrcane, about 20 minutes from Zadar on the Dalmatian coast.

Running from September 3rd to 5th, the event promises guests three nights of "musical anarchy by the sea".

The festival's official website also claims the function will "entertain and thrill in equal measure" – something that may not be hard to believe when the all-star line-up is considered.

Acts such as The Very Best, Django Django, Fran and Josh, The Worm and Joanna and the Wolf have all been confirmed as performers for the event.

Plus, with revellers staying in accommodation close to Zadar, a walk around the historic city is not out of the question.

Taking place just a week earlier is the Electric Elephant festival, also in Petrcane, which could be just as desirable for music lovers.
