Book Croatia holiday to celebrate the seaside
14 October 2010For many people, the sea and accompanying beach is a highlight of any coastal break, with those on holiday in Croatia particularly blessed in this department.
Now, tourists have an opportunity to celebrate being by the sea and all of the traditions it entails.
The Croatian National Tourist Board notes a festival named The Zadar Sea is currently underway and will run for the rest of this month.
Aiming to illustrate what it means to live just a stone's throw from the waves of the Adriatic, the event features pictures, music and verse in an attempt to sum it up.
Special local seafood dishes are to be served in Zadar's main square, while there will also be the chance to join in with traditional crafts such as boat maintenance.
Indeed, anybody with a passion for the oceans may find a holiday in Croatia is just right for them in October.
Zadar is located in the centre of the Dalmatian coast and can be reached with budget airline Ryanair, which offers services to the resort from the UK.
