Book Istrian accommodation to enjoy "beach connoisseur's choice"

To enjoy a beach noted by a newspaper as one of the Adriatic's best, tourists are likely to have to book accommodation in Istria.

Whether it is a romantic Croatia holiday or a stylish family outing in demand, the shore at Lovran is the place to head.

According to the Telegraph, the beach itself, which is known as Medveja, is perfect for sipping cocktails, sunbathing and simply spending time with loved ones.

Jon Bousfield, writing for the newspaper, says it features a crescent of shingle close to the base of the rolling hills on the eastern side of Istria.

It "has always been something of a beach connoisseur's choice", he suggests, adding the arrival of new facilities has also made it popular with young families.

There really are "few better places" to enjoy a sunshine holiday with something for everyone.

Lovran is best accessed via Trieste Airport on the other side of the border with Italy - a route that is provided from the UK by Ryanair.
