Book a Croatian villa now to enjoy 'flamenco hero'

Flamenco icon Paco de Lucia is coming to Croatia - meaning fans may wish to book a Croatian villa or waterfront property and reserve tickets to ensure they enjoy a stylish stay in the Balkans.

Mr de Lucia will give a trio of displays - in Split, Rijeka and Zagreb - in February, according to the Croatian Times, so there could be little excuse for missing one of Flamenco's most decorated performances.

The Spanish composer and guitarist has not visited Croatia for more than 30 years.

He will be joined on the mini-tour by his band - singers Cristo Heredia and David de Jacoba, Nino Josele (guitar), Antonio Serrano (keyboard), Alain Perez (bass), Piranha (percussion) and dancer Farruco - the newspaper states.

The Croatian National Theatre in Split, Rijeka's Teatar Fenice and the Zagreb Concert Hall provide the venues for Mr de Lucia's shows.

A Croatian villa in any of the locations could provide perfect accommodation and a base from which to explore a fascinating country.

Opera legend Jose Carreras may have recently tempted culture vultures to Croatia after performing in Zagreb this month.
