Book last-minute accommodation in Croatia for Ski World Cup
31 December 2010Skiing fans have a few days to book accommodation in Croatia if they are to travel to the sport's World Cup, which is set to take place in Sljeme.
The Croatian National Tourism Board explains the destination is to once again become "the centre of the skiing world" for three days, between January 4th and 6th.
Arguably one of the country's most prestigious and popular sporting events, the Ski World Cup sees competitors fight it out for the Snow Queen trophy.
History will be made at the 2011 event, with both men and women taking on slalom races at night, making the competition "even more attractive", in the words of the organisation.
As well as all the fun of the skiing, spectators will be able to take advantage of a special programme of concerts and entertainment activities that have been laid on by organisers.
Sljeme is located in the north of the country, close to the capital city Zagreb.
