Brac: Croatia's 'stunningly beautiful' island
06 April 2009The Croatian island of Brac has been lauded as "stunningly beautiful" by a national newspaper.
According to the UK's Mirror publication, the picturesque Vidova Goro and Zlatni Rat beach are must-sees for anyone visiting Brac this summer.
Another destination of particular note on Tina Ediss's journey was Bol, which she described as the "oldest coastal settlement on the island".
She wrote: "The waterfront is lined with shops and bars and restaurants, the harbour busy with boats.
"For the evenings there a number of bars, including an outdoor one where you can sit and watch the sky turn red as the sun sets."
A special mention was also given to the region's seafood, which was detailed in the article as being "wonderfully fresh".
The budget airliner Flybe recently announced that it would be laying on additional flights to Croatia this summer, which could see UK holidaymakers flock to the country over the coming months.
