Circus fans on Croatia holidays 'can enjoy Europe's best performers'

People on Croatian holidays who visit the circus may be enjoying one of Europe's best acts.

The performers from a Split circus were named among the continent's ten finest earlier this week at the Jeunes Talents Cirque Europe contest in France, the Croatian Times reports.

In particular, acrobats Antonia Kuzmanic and Jakov Labrovic were selected as finalists from more than 150 entries.

Organisers of the competition say its jury members were all agreed that the performances of the Split acrobats were among the best Europe has to offer, the newspaper explains.

Another performer travellers to Croatia may wish to look out for is musician Davor Gazde, who was also named as one of the strongest in his field.

Croatia's circus schedule includes a special show dedicated to the role of women in circuses which last took place in Zagreb in November.
