Comic festival may leave people requiring flights to Croatia
18 May 2010An influx of visitors to the Dalmatian coast this month could be the result of an international comic festival that is due to take place.
Held in the town of Makarska, next to the Adriatic Sea, the event will feature some of the industry's biggest names, the Croatian Times reports.
Among them will be Spanish artist Enrique Sanchez Abuli, as well as Ivo Milazzo, Pasquale Ruju and Gianpiero Casertano.
In addition to the comics, a number of Croatian bands will perform in front of an audience that is anticipated to total about 1,500 people, the newspaper explains.
Those who choose to visit the festival could use the rest of their time in the country to relax on the Dalmatian coast's miles of sandy beaches or walk its historic towns.
Travellers searching for cheap flights to Croatia may be advised to consider deals with budget carriers easyJet, Ryanair and Flybe.
