Conference set to attract business travellers to Croatia
15 April 2010Environmental experts from Britain could be looking forward to travelling to Croatia on business next week, with Brac set to host a global development event.
The International Sustainable Development of Islands Conference is due to take place on the land mass in the Adriatic Sea from April 19th to 21st, the Croatian Times reports.
It has been organised by the Hydrographic Institute in Split and the Wessex Institute of Technology, which is based in Southampton.
Approximately 40 specialists in the field will be attending with the intention of discussing eco-friendly expansion of island resorts, explains the newspaper.
The conclusions drawn at the conference may be especially relevant to Croatia, with many holidaymakers heading to the country each year to relax on one of its hundreds of islands.
Spots such as Brac and Hvar are considered two of the most popular, offering visitors largely undiscovered beaches, luxury accommodation and a reliable supply of sunshine.
