Croatia could appeal to Britons keen to travel
22 December 2009The 42 per cent of Britons planning to travel more in 2010 than they did in 2009 may wish to consider booking a Croatian villa and experiencing the heart of the Balkans.
A poll by Travelzoo revealed the renewed desire to travel - and also showed that more than half (52 per cent) would forgo luxuries in order to fund trips abroad next year.
Bob Atkinson, travel expert at travelsupermarket.com, commented: "Brits will give up all sorts of things in order to save up and spend on a trip or a series of trips as a reward for working hard during the year."
The ideal spot in which to relax, unwind and take in some quality beaches and rich history could be Croatia - with such a diverse range of resorts on offer.
Money is still important, though, as the recession rumbles on - meaning a destination with a favourable exchange rate, such as Croatia, could be appealing.
A quarter of respondents to the Travelzoo survey claimed they would give up dining out over the year so that they can afford a top trip overseas.
