Croatia 'gives a chance to discover butterflies'
15 December 2008Croatia is fast emerging as a popular place to visit for naturalists who want to discover beautiful wildlife, according to a newspaper.
A holiday in the country allows the visitor to see exquisite creatures around the turquoise lakes and waterfalls of Plitvice, the Guardian says.
There is also the chance to discover the limestone gorges of Paklencia and the Velebit Mountains, which are rarely visited by tourists.
Dramatic coastal scenery can also be seen while exploring the country for the butterflies cleopatra, little tiger blue, southern festoon and the great sooty satyr.
Taking a boat trip in the country also allows the tourist the chance to discover breathtaking islands and pristine beaches, it has been noted.
Visitors are given the freedom to view the beauty of the country from a boat in a place which is known as the land of a thousand islands, according to a blogger on holidaychatter.co.uk.
