Croatia 'good value' in current economic situation
12 December 2008People who are looking for a holiday which will not be too expensive due to the current decline of the pound could consider travelling to Croatia.
Tourists looking for a good value break could benefit from visiting countries they would not normally consider, which are consistently cheaper, according to the Times.
Helen Warburton, head of travel at the Post Office, told the source that it pays for people to consider European destinations outside the eurozone.
"UK holidaymakers looking for better value in Europe can consider some of the eastern European destinations such as Bulgaria or Croatia and Turkey, which have consistently been shown to be cheaper than the eurozone," she added.
Recently a travel website claimed people who are looking for a holiday destination which will give them good value for money should consider Croatia.
The country is often thought of as a place with lots of old towns with sober stone buildings lined up, which people imagine visiting, iafrica.com says.
