Croatia handball arena to be completed on time

The mayor of Zagreb made his final visit to the city's handball arena before its completion on December 15th, which is on time, it has been reported.

Milan Bandic made his last construction tour of the site before it will be finished after he looked at the grandstands, hall and boiler room on his previous visit, according to javno.com.

The mayor told the source the completion of the arena is the priority of everyone involved in the project, with construction taking place for 16 hours a day

"Rain is no longer falling, the roof has been tested. In two weeks time we should drink coffee and toast with champagne," he added.

Bandic added at the organisation's committee meeting a decision will be made about covering the extra expenses of organising the European Handball Championship.
