Croatia holiday 'is choice of Bernie Ecclestone'
09 August 2010Formula 1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone has been spotted enjoying a holiday in Croatia, according to one newspaper.
The Croatian Times reports 24 Sata as stating the sport's head took a walk through a market in the country and bought flowers from a vendor for his new girlfriend.
Ecclestone, 79, is said to have anchored his private yacht in the harbour of the historic town of Trogir, located north of Split on the Dalmatian coast.
As well as his romantic gesture on the ancient streets of the city, the Formula 1 boss and his partner spent time cruising around the islands of the Adriatic Sea.
These may have included the likes of Brac and Hvar, both of which offer a diverse landscape and range of sights to enjoy.
Ecclestone may have chosen a break in Croatia as a way of spending the mid-season break, with the last grand prix in Hungary being followed by a four-week hiatus until the campaign resumes in Belgium later this month.
