Croatia holiday "is good value for money"
03 December 2009A holiday in Croatia is "good value for money" because of the country's position outside of the eurozone.
According to healthy living website Realbuzz.com, the weakness of the kuna against the pound makes the Balkan country "one of the cheapest destinations in Europe".
Croatia offers visitors a diverse mix of beautiful beaches, rich history and magnificent countryside - all of which is available on a budget.
Other financial incentives make the Adriatic coast worth considering as a holiday destination, with the website stating: "There's no lack of cheap accommodation in Croatia, from campsites to private guest houses, while even the more upmarket hotels still offer good deals."
Realbuzz.com suggests taking an off-peak trip to the country - such as a winter break - as the weather is still good compared with much of Europe and prices are at their lowest.
Online tourist advice site Guide2Croatia reveals that the average price of a beer in the country is eight kunas (£1.50), a coffe is 80p and a steak meal in a restaurant should cost about £8.
