Croatia holiday may be ideal for dance fans this summer
16 March 2010Tourists may be set to pack their dancing shoes and head to Croatia this summer, after it was announced that a dance festival is to be held.
A special dance week will take place in the cities of Rijeka, Split and Zagreb, starting on May 24th, according to the Croatian Times.
Organisers at the Croatian Institute for Movement and Dance have urged dance fans in the country to take part in what will be the 27th annual festival.
Those planning to travel to Croatia to enjoy the event may find booking their flights and a Croatian villa is cheaper if completed now.
The institute is reminding professional choreographers and performers that they are welcome to apply to take part, the newspaper explains.
Some of the finest work from the festival will be performed on a special platform between May 31st and June 2nd.
The town of Rovinj put on a month-long dance festival in December, named Let's Dance, which combined live performances and dance nights.
