Croatia holiday "offers diverse Mediterranean experience"
04 December 2009Holidaymakers seeking a unique experience with rich history and a range of activities on offer may wish to consider travelling to Croatia.
The Croatian National Tourist Office has expressed its delight at being named one of British Airways' top ten destinations for 2010, saying its popularity with British and Irish visitors was particularly pleasing.
Meri Matesic, a spokeswoman for the office, said: "With short flight times from London and regional airports, Croatia offers a diverse Mediterranean holiday experience and provides great value for money."
According to holiday advice site Travelmole, an expanded programme of flights and packages to Croatia has been put in place for next summer.
It is expected that British travellers will flock to the Balkan country in order to take advantage of its beautiful beaches and favourable exchange rate.
Thomson recently labelled Croatia as "the jewel of the Balkan," citing its breath-taking mountainous landscapes, rich green forests and medieval cities as the reason.
