Croatia holidaymakers reminded to secure travel insurance
05 May 2010People heading on a Croatia holiday this summer are among those warned to remember basic safety and precautionary actions.
EssentialTravel, a provider of airport parking and travel insurance, believes people often travel abroad unaware of the potential problems anybody can encounter.
Stuart Bensusan, the firm's director, says protecting a break with insurance is a good first step.
He notes people often forget "to consider other more common occurrences such as medical treatment for a sudden illness or accident and lost luggage".
It is worth remembering that such problems can occur anywhere in the world - even in popular European destinations such as the Adriatic coast - so being prepared is key.
Paying out for medical care without insurance could prove financially devastating, while a loss of luggage will, at best, create significant disruption.
