Croatia holidays 'are safe and easy'
25 May 2010High safety levels and a lack of bureaucracy have been cited as reasons behind increasing numbers of tourists heading to Croatia.
Guide2Croatia, summarising the recent World Economic Forum, says Croatia's rise of five places in the league table of tourism is promising but can be bettered.
It notes good safety and the lack of visa requirements and general administration as reasons for visiting the country.
However, it also suggests Croatia can learn from the likes of Germany and Switzerland, which took the top two places.
Croatia holidays are largely popular because of the beautiful coastline the country has to offer visitors, but with the aforementioned pair featuring next to no sea, their success can be attributed elsewhere.
It is these areas - such as provision of flights - that Croatia can improve in to further cement its place as one of Europe's top destinations for a break.
Budget airlines Jet2.com and Wizz Air may be going some way to doing this already, with both announcing new flights to Croatia in recent weeks.
