Croatia 'is a vibrant holiday destination for music lovers'
29 June 2010Music lovers who take a holiday in Croatia this summer in order to enjoy a festival will be heading to a vibrant destination.
That is the view of Massive Attack's Robert '3D' Del Naja, who believes the mentality of audiences in the country is different to those elsewhere.
Following the band's performance at the T-Mobile Inmusic festival last week, he told the BBC he enjoyed the passion of the crowd.
As well as the event near Zagreb, Croatia now offers festival-goers similar dates such as Garden, Outlook and Soundwave - all of which draw significant numbers to the nation.
Wayne Coyne, who also performed at INmusic with his band The Flaming Lips, explained to the news source: "I like these sorts of things. It's out in the woods and feels like you're more free. You don't feel as though it's a big corporation coming in to sell you products."
There could still be time for music fans to get themselves to Croatia in time for the Garden Festival, which kicks off on July 2nd.
