Croatia 'is making massive comeback as a destination'
29 July 2009Holidaymakers looking to take a relaxing break in Europe this summer have been advised to consider a trip to Croatia.
Speaking to the Guardian recently, a female representative of STA Travel in Liverpool said those visiting Croatia will find plenty to see and do.
"It's making a massive comeback as a destination and is easily accessible from most UK airports. I would recommend a flight to Split with a possible stay in Trogir which is becoming more popular but not as busy as Dubrovnik," she noted.
Once in Croatia, visitors can enjoy the architectural delights of cities such as Zagreb or enjoy a relaxing cruise around the islands of Mijet, Korcula, Hvar and Bol.
In related news, the Post Office revealed last week that a villa holiday in Croatia is a good option for those looking to travel on a tight budget this year.
Figures compiled by the organisation revealed the destination is one of the cheapest in Europe, with the average family meal coming in at just £41.41.
