Croatia may be best explored by a cruise
12 October 2009A Baltic cruise could be a great way to see Croatia and the surrounding countries.
The cruise market has continued to grow this year, despite the economic downturn and the difficulties experienced by other sectors of the travel industry, according to the Passenger Shipping Association (PSA).
And with Croatia's glorious Adriatic coast already proving attractive to travellers, some may now wish to consider a cruise as the ultimate way to experience it.
In the last month Croatian coastal resorts such as Dubrovnik have, in online travel magazine In2Town, been highlighted as some of the "most beautiful" spots in Europe.
Sean Tipton, spokesman for the Association of British Travel Agents, said: "Over the last few years we've seen a significant increase in the number of UK holidaymakers who are choosing to cruise."
According to the PSA there has been an 11 per cent increase in British cruise passengers in the last year, bringing the total figure up to around 1.5 million.
