Croatia striker Eduardo wants return to action
17 March 2009Croatian soccer star Eduardo da Silva is desperate to return to action with his club side Arsenal.
Writing in his team's official match day programme, the Brazilian-born Croatian national expressed his desire to play after suffering a series of injuries.
The striker, who has scored 13 goals in 23 appearances for his country, broke his leg after a horrific tackle last year.
He said: "Really, it's nothing now for me to deal with these small injuries like hamstring and groin strains - I can understand them.
"I'm calm about it and I'm feeling better with every day and every training session."
He added that his lengthy spells on the sidelines had given him "plenty of experience" when it came to niggling injuries.
Prior to moving to England, Eduardo plied his trade in the Croatian capital Zagreb, a city known for its intriguing cultural history and varied night life.
