Croatia take on Malta rugby team

Croatia's rugby union team will visit Malta on Saturday to play them in the Federation International de Rugby Amateur (FIRA) European Nations Cup.

The Croats are currently ranked 44th in the International Rugby Board (IRB) table, while Malta, who are playing in the cup for the first time, are 56th.

Croatia and Malta have played each other three times before, with the latter winning in 2006 and Croatia being victorious twice in the following two matches.

Martin Galea, president of the Malta Rugby Football Union (MRFU), said Croatia is a strong team and they play good rugby.

"However I am confident that our national team will give a good show. The boys are training hard in preparation for this match," he added.
The game will take place at the Hibernians Ground in Corradino.

With seven divisions including five or six teams, the European Nations Cup is currently held by Georgia who won in the 2006/2008 season.
