Croatia to host international book fair
06 November 2008The 31st International Fair of Books and Teaching Aids will be held in Zagreb, Croatia this year from November 12th to 16th.
Supported by the Croatian Ministry of Culture, the event presents those in the publishing and education sectors with the largest supply of books under one roof.
The fair features Israel as its partner country this year following Slovenia in 2006 and Poland in 2007.
A programme of events with several presentations is planned and a large number of publishers and writers are expected to attend.
The event will be run in conjunction with the Music and Multimedia fair which will take place at the same time.
Attractions at the book fair include the launches of new titles and editions, panel discussions, meetings with authors and book sales.
In recent news, a new 12,000-seat entertainment and sports arena is set to be opened in Croatia by owners the National Exhibition Centre Group.
