Croatia travellers may want to try cycling in Zagreb
06 August 2010Those hoping to travel through Croatia in unconventional style may be interested in seeing the sights of Zagreb on two wheels, following news from the Croatian National Tourist Board.
According to the body, it is offering tourists the chance to explore the city on bicycles, with the three-hour Blue Bike tours being available for groups of up to 12 people.
And the expedition allows those involved to discover the areas between Marshall Tito Square, the Upper Town and New Zagreb.
The organisation stated: "The first tourists who decided to tour the city on two wheels were impressed by the abundance of greenery and mostly stopped in Zrinjevac and Ribnjak parks."
It could be that people travelling through Croatia decide to get on their bikes and see the sights in alternative fashion.
Visitors to the city may also want to take the time to head to the Museum Mimara and Maksimir Park, as suggested by Lonely Planet.
