Croatian beach on Dalmatian coast recommended for summer holiday
12 May 2010Families and couples looking for an idyllic beach holiday on which to relax in picturesque surroundings this summer have been advised to head to a spot in northern Croatia.
The medieval settlement of Nin provides visitors with long sandy beaches backed by grassy dunes, states Jon Bousfield, writing for the Telegraph.
Undoubtedly the main attraction in the town is Kraljicina Plaza - which translates as Queen's Beach - claims the writer.
Those who head to the coastal retreat will find three kilometres of fine demerara-coloured sand and waters that can be paddled through to reach Zdrijac spit.
"Across the water to the east rise the rugged grey slopes of the Velebit Mountains, providing one of the Croatian coast's most heart-stopping views," explains Mr Bousfield.
People who choose to follow the words of the writer and holiday in Nin this summer would be best advised to use Zadar Airport, which is served from the UK by Ryanair.
