Croatian channel helps TV firm make 41% net revenue
31 July 2008A rapidly expanding media firm in Croatia has announced revenue increases of 41 per cent.
Central European Media Enterprises, which is the region's fastest growing company of its kind, has produced earnings of $305.4 million (£154.2 million) in the second quarter of this year, reports Variety.com.
The firm operates in six countries in the area and has revealed the Croatian property channel it provides is performing particularly well.
Michael Garin, chief executive officer of the company, told the website Nova TC, the channel, is seeing healthy growth and he has high hopes for a similar venture in Bulgaria.
Meanwhile, it was announced recently Fashion TV is to begin broadcasting in Croatia from mid-September after a deal was agreed.
The Paris-based channel will be shown in the country after Serbian broadcaster TV Pink agreed to launch a new version of the international station in the Balkans, with 30 per cent of its initial output expected to be locally produced.
