Croatian coastline is "bejewelled with wonderful places"

A travel writer has spoken of his experience when exploring the Croatian coastline, which he reveals is "bejewelled with wonderful places".

Ron Smith, writing for the Forres Gazette, suggests the Dalmatian coast offers a mixture of history, spectacular views and superb resorts.

It is also home to a large range of Croatian villas, from the ancient city of Dubrovnik in the south, up through Split and finally the Istria region.

"There is just so much to see in and around Split, it would be easy to spend an entire holiday here," Mr Smith explains, before adding the chance to travel the area by road is a particularly enjoyable one.

It arguably does not matter which part of Croatia a tourist heads to, as the relaxing, peaceful and scenic qualities remain throughout – particularly down its border with the Adriatic Sea.

UK tourists have access to a host of flights to Croatia, including routes to all of the major cities.
