Croatian football player back with club
17 December 2008A Croatian football player has returned to play for his Premier League club after suffering a broken leg nearly a year ago in a match against Birmingham.
Eduardo da Silva played for 45 minutes for Arsenal in their 2-0 win against Portsmouth reserves this week, but suffered from a hamstring injury during the game.
The 25-year-old now hopes he can be back in action for his team when they begin their campaign in the Football Association Cup in January.
Eduardo said at the moment he is better and feels very happy.
"I came off at half-time because I felt something in my hamstring, but I think I will be all right in two weeks. The situation with my injury was very hard for me, but I have to forget everything bad in my life," he added.
Croatian player Niko Kranjcar has recently ruled out a move from Portsmouth football club in the next transfer window.
