Croatian model chosen in Ford contest

A Croatian model has been selected to represent her country after winning the Croatian Ford Supermodel contest, it has been reported.

Kristima Situm will travel to Budva in January for the world final of the competition after beating 15 other supermodels to the title, according to javno.com.

She will have the chance to win a modelling contract as previous winners of the competition have gone on to work on the international fashion scene.

Ms Situm told the source she is aware that the job of a model is not at all easy, but she is prepared for all the sacrifices that come with it.

"I know what I want and I am confident. I have always wanted to do this, although I just entered the fashion world a year and a half ago," she added.

A Croatian model recently appeared in an edition of Vogue India, a year after the magazine was first launched.

Helena Sopar took part in a photoshoot inspired by fairytales, which was captured by famous Indian photographer Barakh Sitta, according to javno.com.
