Croatian new year break could be cheaper with airline discount

Tourists looking to book a post-Christmas break may want to consider Croatia after an airline has launched a range of discounts.

Cheap flights are available with Croatia's national carrier from Zagreb, Split, Dubrovnik, Zadar and Pula to a host of European cities, including London, the Croatian Times reports.

Other destinations included in the budget deals are Amsterdam, Vienna, Brussels, Frankfurt, Copenhagen, Munich, Paris, Podgorica, Pristina, Rome, Sarajevo, Skopje and Zurich.

People thinking about visiting Croatia could find that the largest savings are to be made by booking online, the publication advises.

Flights must be booked between December 10th and 20th and are valid on journeys taking place from January 15th to March 15th.

It may be possible to indulge in a multi-destination holiday involving a stop in Croatia, where a Croatian villa could provide the perfect accommodation.

Croatia Airlines last month announced it will be opening a new route between Zagreb and Belgrade starting in May 2010.
