Croatian player missed by team mates
02 December 2008A Croatian football player has been hailed as the key to his team's success this season by his teammate at Tottenham Hotspur Football Club Ledley King.
Luka Modric has not been playing for two weeks due to a partially torn groin muscle but he is back training with his team in the hope of getting back on the pitch.
The 23-year-old was possibly going to play in the team's defeat to Everton last weekend but may now return in a Carling Cup match this week.
King said the team played too much direct football against Everton and has to do more and have more imagination if it wants to win matches
"We miss Luka Modric because that is what he is all about. When he you give him the ball in the final third he makes things happen and we hope he is back as soon as possible," he added.
Premier League football coach Harry Redknapp recently paid tribute to the country's players saying: "Every boy from Croatia I have had has just been special".
