Croatian popularity has 'benefited Montenegro'
21 August 2008The increasing number of tourists wanting to travel to Croatia has benefited neighbouring countries, it has today been stated.
Property firm BuyAssociation's Paul Collins claims the popularity of Croatia has had a positive effect on Montenegro's property market.
Mr Collins said: "Croatia became quite popular a few years ago with the overseas property market and as an extension of that people started going into Montenegro."
The Bay of Kotor was picked out as a specific attraction of Montenegro by Mr Collins.
He also added the country has "the same kind of coastline as Croatia, just not as much of it".
The news comes shortly after the Montenegrin town of Budva was described as the 'Pearl of the Adriatic", according to a source.
Website 2theadvocate.com reported the town, which has transport links to Dubrovnik, is currently enjoying a property boom, while Donna Jones, a Briton who has moved to the area, described the surroundings as "spectacular".
