Croatian products to go on sale at Zagreb fair

Travellers interested in purchasing authentic Croatian products crafted in the country's villages may wish to head to an upcoming fair.

Products of the Croatian Villages takes place in Zagreb between March 26th and 28th, offering items such as wine, cheese and honey, the Croatian Times reports.

There is also the potential to pick up a bargain piece of woodcraft and other local specialities.

Organiser Damir Kovacevic tells the newspaper the fair will have approximately 370 exhibitors from all across Croatia.

This could mean travellers to the country are able to sample a slice of culture from each of its regions without having to leave the capital.

Zrinjevac Boccia House is set to play host to the event for its three-day duration and may inspire visitors to check out more of Zagreb's architecture and design.

Meri Matesic, director at the Croatian National Tourist Office, said this week those travelling to Croatia can expect to enjoy good value for money on their trip.
