Cruise to Croatia could be popular option this Christmas
08 December 2010Joining up with a cruise liner on its way to Croatia could be a popular holiday choice this winter, if one expert is to be believed.
Penny Guy, PR director at the Passenger Shipping Association, suggests there is plenty of "value and variety" to be found in travelling by boat.
Indeed, it is this that makes it a perfect choice for many Britons over the Christmas break.
"At Christmas time, you can either fully immerse yourself in the Christmas spirit of the snow and the presents through to going and visiting Christmas markets," she states.
One such event that may be of interest to holidaymakers travelling to Croatia is the Dubrovnik Christmas Market, which is already underway in the ancient city featuring traditional gifts and food.
According to recent research by CruiseCritic.co.uk, seven-in-ten Britons have either taken a cruise over the festive season or would love to do so in the future.
