Cruising Croatia 'makes for great summer holiday'
12 May 2010A UK newspaper has recommended a cruise of the Adriatic Sea - taking in the finest spots in Croatia on the way - as a top way to spend the summer.
The Shropshire Star says a typical tour of the waters could start in Italy and visit Greece before ending in Croatia.
It is thought such a route can be completed in about seven days, although some travellers may wish to book more time in Croatia to enjoy all the country has to offer.
According to the publication, it is an ideal opportunity to "combine history with fun at the beach".
Some of the most historic locations in Croatia are located on its picturesque Adriatic coast - ranging from Dubrovnik in the south to Zadar and Trogir in the north.
A particular highlight for many people who travel to Croatia is the ancient walls of Dubrovnik, which circle the city and provide the route for a relaxing and informative walk.
