Dalmatian region 'finest part of Croatia's coast'

Dalmatia is an ideal location for a holiday, particularly if culture seekers want to rent an apartment or villa in Croatia, it has been claimed.

According to travel expert Zeljka Sulenta, the Makarska Riviera is now regarded by many as "the finest part of the Croatian coastline", with the area surrounding the town of Tucepi noted for its four kilometre-long beach.

"With the Biokovo mountain range overlooking the sea, this is a spectacular area of natural beauty, celebrated for being unspoiled and for having the cleanest environment," said a spokesperson for the firm.

An increasing number of observers have noted the highly developed tourist infrastructure of Dalmatia, with visitors lauding its wide range of seafood restaurants, sporting facilities and boat trips to neighbouring islands.

Water sports, including water- and jet-skiing, are particularly popular with holidaymakers, as are mountain trips, shopping excursions, clubs, bars and children's play facilities.

Zeljka Sulenta pointed out that a large proportion of people who have chosen to rent an apartment or villa in the region also come away with praise for the location's abundance of aromatic lemon, olive and mimosa trees, as well as planted herbs including rosemary and lavender.
